10 second gay discord
How Discord Communities Commemorate Pride
On Monday, we launched our annual Pride fundraiser. So far, we’ve raised over $66,000 for the LGBTQ Independence Fund thanks to everyone’s help! We’re keeping donations up through the terminate of the month, and every minuscule bit counts. If you’d like to contribute, hop on over to the donation page.
Everyone knows Pride Month is better when you have people to celebrate with. Today, we’re opening the floor to a few of our Partnered Community servers. These servers incorporate the Gay Geeks, Spectrum, Gaymers, and Gayozera communities in the Discord Spouse Program.
We encourage you to check ’em out and present your support! Who knows, you may even meet some new friends along the way. 💖
Gay Geeks is an all-inclusive environment about your hobbies, gaming, or just discussing your favorite geeky fandom. Gay Geeks was first established in 2010 before starting a Discord in 2017.
Trophias, the server owner, shares some backstory: “We have had a Facebook community for just about 10 years (decade birthday in December hype!) and we wanted to embrace and get closer to our community even more. We decided, ‘Hey, we should upgrade our people and get a li
LGBTI asylum seekers: discord between the European courts?
This article is to be interpret in conjunction with the EDAL Case Summary
Introduction
Seven and a half months after the Court of Justice of the European Union (“CJEU”) handed down their landmark judgment in Joined Cases C-199/12, C-200/12 and C-201/12, X, Y and Z v Minister voor Immigratie en Asiel(“XYZ”), which concerns how to adjudicate asylum applications by those fleeing persecution on the basis of their sexual orientation, the European Court of Human Rights (“ECtHR”) gave judgment in M.E. v. Sweden (no. 71398/12) (“M.E.”) on the very same issue. The first point concerns whether LGBTI asylum seekers can be expected to return dwelling and conceal their sexual orientation to avoid persecution. The second point is whether the mere criminalisation of homosexual acts, irrespective of the actual application of the criminal statute in practice, can constitute an act of persecuti

A record from Tanya (she/her & they/them) and Alex (he/him), leaders of the Pride Employee Resource Team at Discord:
At Discord, Pride Month is always a moment to take activity for the LGBTQIA2S+ community. This year was especially eventful: we kicked off June with our annual donation steer supporting GLSEN, launched a new Pronoun Bot, painted the walls of San Francisco, and helped spotlight over a dozen Pride-focused Stage Channel events held by our communities.
By the end of the month, our community had raised $70,769.85 for GLSEN. We at the Discord Pride Employee Resource Group donated an additional$50,000, bringing our grand total to a goal-shattering $120,769.85. These donations will help assure LGBTQIA+ students around the world are able to grasp and grow in a school environment free from bullying or harassment.
While we’re pleased with the success of the drive, of our Pronoun Bot, and of our community’s many panels and celebrations, we firmly believe that Pride doesn’t end in June.Pride is a never-ending celebration of support, awareness, and inclusion — and it’s
