Capitol Hill has a long history of being a home and cultural center for LGBTQIA+ life in Seattle. Community Roots Housing, in partnership with GenPride, hopes to preserve and boost this proud tradition by developing LGBTQIA-affirming affordable apartments for seniors in the neighborhood.

Pride Place, an eight-story building located on Broadway between Pike and Pine, features 118 apartments above an LGBTQIA-focused community and health services center jog by GenPride. Lgbtq+ fest Place households must have at least one member aged 55 or older.

Pride Place

Pride Place Residential Teaching Program (RLP) is a residential community focused on the personal wellness and academic success of students of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions at Carolina. We envision a housing people in which every learner feels safe, included, and empowered. Residents will understand about the LGBTQ+ collective and its many intersections, build relationships, and actively engage in the collective. This RLP is supported through a partnership with the UNC LGBTQ Center and Carolina Housing.

This goal of this residential learning program is to provide residents with a space to feel secure and empowered through their sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Opening hours and reservations

The cafe at Flamingos is open daily from 10am to 6pm. During these hours, group table reservations are available at no charge.

From 6pm to 9pm weekday evenings, Flamingos is available to be booked for exclusive use by LGBTQ+ groups.

On Wednesday afternoons one of our friendly volunteers will be available to chat and support social introductions between anyone who drops by.

Come on your control or with friends, carry your hobbies, crafts, or simply enjoy a consume and cake from the cafe. There’s no require to book, just decrease in — look for the table reserved for Pride Place.
